Construction Notices and Bids

The Inactive Mines Reclamation Program designs and manages the closure of hazardous abandoned mines. To do so, the IMRP awards solicitations to contractors working in the private sector through the Department of Natural Resources Purchasing office.

The State's bids for all construction projects are now processed on the "Colorado Vendor Self Service" or "VSS" website.

On the above linked page, there are three links with directions on the right side of the page under the heading "Links". These links provide guidance in registering on VSS. Please note that registration is required in order to receive an award of a bid or to receive an email notification of all bids posted.

The VSS system registration requires a "commodity" code for requested bid opportunity notifications. The main commodity code that IMRP uses is 96273. The Main "Object Code: that IMP uses is 2210. However, the following construction commodity codes are also used: 94000, 940, 909, 90900, 912, 91200, 913, and 91300.

Once registered, users can view all of the Bids on the website by clicking the "Public Access" button on the left side of the page. Entering the letters "PKAA" (PKAA designates the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety) in the search box at the top, middle of the page, lists all of the projects out to bid (current and previous).

If you have any technical or website related questions or need help with your registration, please call the VSS Help Desk phone number (303-866-6464). If you have questions in general on the bid process, please call the Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety at 303-866-3567.

Notices of currently active solicitations can be viewed on the Colorado Vendor Self Service site.
