The Mine Safety and Training Program (MSTP) provides assistance to the mining industry and community upon request and is an integral part of the Division of Reclamation, Mining &, Safety (DRMS). The MSTP conducts a variety of mine health and safety education and training assistance courses in compliance with federal MSHA Title 30 regulations (Parts 46, 48, 49, etc.), safety audits, testing and certification of coal mine officials, tourist mine inspection, special topics training, MSHA training plan and safety program development, mine rescue and emergency MERD exercises and collects and reports coal production in Colorado. The MSTP designs, produces and distributes new, innovative and national award-winning mine health and safety training resources for the mining community nationwide.

Our instructors bring extensive mining experience to each class and are certified and qualified by the U.S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). Training and assistance is usually conducted at your site but can be conducted at a location designated by you. The only cost to you may be lodging charges for the trainer and the cost of materials (if any) for the course.
